ENMAX Rodeo and Safety Expo
The ENMAX Rodeo and Safety Expo is an annual event that showcases the essential roles of powerline workers and the technically complex skills required to perform the job. It rewards the safe and proficient execution of necessary skills through a series of fun, competitive events. This family-friendly event includes our rodeo competition, safety expo, trade show, and family fun zone. Proceeds from the 2024 rodeo will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

I'm a competitor or judge
Think you have what it takes? The competition is open to registered journeyperson teams of three and apprentices who are judged on their capabilities as a lineperson and ability to perform tasks safely.
Competitors are judged on:
- Safe work practice
- Neatness
- Ability
- Proper equipment handling
- Timely completion of the tasks
All competing teams are asked to bring a volunteer judge.

- Transformer changeout
- Journeyperson obstacle course
Apprentice events
- Pole top rescue
- Pole climb relay
- Hazard removal
- Apprentice obstacle course.
