Starting January 1, 2025, the default electricity option in Alberta is the Rate of Last Resort - previously called the Regulated Rate Option (RRO).

Submission of this form will initiate your:

Electricity services on the Rate of Last Resort
Water, sanitary, storm sewer, and/or solid waste services. (There will be a $10 (plus taxes) application for water service applied to your first bill)

Please note: This service form is available for residential customers living in Calgary, Red Deer, Cardston, and Ponoka. If you would like to set up an account for your small commercial business, please to assist you.

If you select a move-in date prior to January 1, 2025, you will see both RRO and Rate of Last Resort on your bill. Electrical consumption in 2024 will be billed on the RRO. Electrical consumption after January 1, 2025 will be billed on the Rate of Last Resort.
