Distress Centre
Operating since 1970, the Distress Centre offers professional counselling, a 24-hour crisis line, financial assistance and resources to community members experiencing any kind of crisis in Calgary and Southern Alberta.
Since 2011, ENMAX has invested more than $1.1M in the Distress Centre, including contributions to the Basic Needs Fund that offers emergency financial support to families in crisis. We also sponsor the organization’s annual volunteer appreciation event, recognizing the selfless people who make a difference working on the frontlines.
